Empowering Refugees and Communities Facing Water and Climate Crises

At Frontline Film School, we empower refugees, war survivors, and communities displaced by water scarcity, climate disaster, and humanitarian crises through powerful multimedia storytelling. Your donation provides access to education, equipment, and mentorship, enabling frontline voices to document their realities, inspire action, and foster global understanding.

Join us in amplifying their stories and addressing one of the world’s most urgent issues — the water crisis.
Donate today and be part of a movement that transforms lives and protects our shared future.

Cameras Rolling. Water Flowing.

We’re proud to be collaborating with Opus One, a Danish company, to bring clean water filtration to the island of Tierra Bomba.

Beyond this, we’re raising funds to install a well in the remote Wayuu territory of La Guajira, northern Colombia—supporting one of the region’s most vulnerable communities.

Each of our projects includes a film component to raise awareness and inspire real action on the ground. Through these stories, we secure funding for tangible water solutions.

And just as importantly, we teach filmmaking to local youth, giving them the tools and voice to share their own stories with the world.

Portrait on the left is Venus Daas photographed by Jonathan Kloberdanz - on location shooting "Dreams at Sea" documentary in Greece (circa 2016). Dreams at Sea takes us inside the journey of a sister and brother from Syria who discover that crossing the sea in search of safety was only the start of their odyssey. Each decision on the run, at a frontier, and on the street poses an existential threat. At each step, they face a choice: Will they stay together and risk getting lost in the limbo of an overburdened refugee relocation system? Or will they risk getting separated as they navigate dangerous underground paths alone? Along the way, their journey triggers a crisis of values as some Europeans react from fear while others form an underground railroad to help the family pursue love and dreams for their future.
